Carlsbad, 2010

This summer we had the wonderful opportunity to go to Carlsbad, California.  Too bad Todd was studying for the Nevada bar and stayed behind.  I traveled there with my younger brother, Brennan and my sweet parents took my kiddos so I could have a few hours with zero responsibility.  Brennan and I had fun on that road trip!!  We stayed in a family friend's beautiful beach home located just a mile or so from the beach.  More importantly, it is only two miles from Legoland!

My kids both love legos and to think that an entire amusement park is dedicated to all things lego was too much, we had to go.  Alyssa, only 4 at the time, loved the rides!  Harrison was the one who got a bit scared, but he was a trooper and went on all the rides anyway.   Legoland was a blast.  We even experienced something southern California is pretty famous for, an earthquake.  It was a tiny one, but nonetheless, it shut the rides down for an hour or two.

The rest of the trip was spent at the beach or at the neighborhood pool and jacuzzi.  We also played cards and laughed and talked.  It was a nice week and a nice break from the heat!

Off to Legoland with Uncle Brennan!

Peace Out!!
